Game Over takes you through a tale of how an unstable marriage could become deadly.
Erica and Marcus Simmons have been married for 6 years and their union has been anything but blissful. As Erica plays tug of war with heart about her marriage Marcus does the unthinkable, he lost her in a poker game to the neighborhood boss, Rico. Erica comes to the conclusion that she has had enough. She is left to stay with her husband’s boss but no one is willing to tell her why. As Erica spends her time with Rico, she soon realizes that there is more to Rico’s story, which has her intrigued, but she can’t get past his secretive life. While Erica discovers the truth about her husband's past and Rico's present, she’s left to decide who she should forgive, a man she is hopelessly falling for or her husband who is willing to fight for their marriage. Take a journey with Rico, Erica, and Marcus in Game Over as they struggle through the lies, deceit, and how love doesn't conquer all.

Positives: 1. The story line was original enough that it held my interest throughout the entire book. I did have a hard time putting it down, simply because I wanted to know if this silly chick was going to come to her senses. 2. The story contained plot twists that totally took me by surprise and caught me off guard. 3. Overall, there was an HEA ending, which I appreciated.

Negatives: 1. The editing was terrible. Misspelled words, and in more instances than I could count, the conversations ran together in such a way that you couldn’t tell where one person stops talking and the next person starts. 2. I could not STAND the MC, Erica. She irked my very last nerve!!! She was dumb as sack of hammers & always told everything she knew. And I couldn’t understand her going back and forth between the two. Do I think it’s possible to love more than 1 person at a time? Yes, I do. What I had trouble understanding is how you can be confused about staying with a man who: treats you like S--- with all capital letters, talks to you like a dog even in front of others, takes off his wedding ring in public right in front of you, cheats on you with more than 1 woman, makes you serve him like your maid, takes and gives nothing in return, drugs you to get you to shut up, and you can’t even recall the last time he told you he loved you? She said she loved her husband, Marcus, because they had history, yet he wouldn’t dance in the rain with her on their wedding night because he didn’t want to mess up his outfit. (Yes, it was a dumb idea but she was still his wife.) She loved him because he was there when her brother died? What kind of foolishness? What on Earth was there to be confused about? True enough Rico had a couple of secrets of his own, but they didn’t begin to compare to Marcus’. 3. The biggest secret that came about at the end (about Erica’s brother) was a bit off. It was just a bit dumb when you think about it. 4. There were absolutely no physical descriptions whatsoever! WTH? Rico was described in the beginning as having “natural beauty & sex appeal”. That’s it! No description of hair, eyes, skin tone/texture, height, build, nothing! And that was for every single character! I didn’t even know until the end that the girl, Angel, was Latina until she called her son Papi.

Overall, is it worth a read? Yes. But only buy it if it’s on sale for less than $3, or else borrow it from the Kindle library.

Garbage basura, horribly written, drawn out. Just all together bad. Don't even know where to begin, this book was so bad. I really wanted to give 0 stars but alas I gave 1for effort
this book is straight garbage I WANT MY MONEY BACK U SHOULD HAVE MADE THIS FREE. Im soo made i waste my money i dont even know how to explain this mess she wrote drica armstrong u should have took your time and came up with a better story and plot im very disgusted in this book i wish i could give it negative 5 stars
This book was really good and i'm so glad that it did not keep you hanging at the end waiting on a part 2.
I have read enough novels and watched enough movies that I am very rarely surprised by the twists at the end. This one did surpeise me. The twist was hidden well, but was still believable.

Good read. I like the authors style.
Overall I will say the book was okay, because I continued to read it. The cover does not tell what this book is about. I like love stories, so I continued to read it. There is nothing graphic about this book. There is no cussing or anything like that. This book is placed in the wrong genre (category), it is an African American romance book. This book does not contain any real hustling. If you are into graphic sex, and street fiction this is not for you. What really killed my vibe was the fact the author did not describe any of the characters. I was left trying to picture undescribed people (that was a mess). It wasn't too many grammar errors, only a few.
I read this books in less then a day. The author had me wanting more. I couldn't figure Rico or Marcus out. Once everything came out in the open I was stunned. This is a good stand alone book. The good thing about it is the author left herself open to continue Game Over if she choose too.
This was an entertaining but unrealistic read. First of all, Erica. No woman is that out of touch with life. I understand Marcus and his bull crap, but Erica was not a victim by any means. Her actions were strong-minded but maybe a little confused. She knew where she was, just not sure how to be there. Marcus robbed a big shot among others and still walking around talking crap. Rico, a big shot, has no Crew. Marcus was able to touch him at will without detection. Marcus and Rico's secrets were ridiculous. I did like the ending and was Happy there was No continuation. Definitely recommended.
